Brooklyn Slate Cheese Board, Knife and Soapstone Pencil Set
+ $ shipping surcharge
A cheese board as natural as what you're serving on it.
This exclusive-to-Food52 cheese board set makes us want to have people over for wine and cheese every night of the week. The black boards come from the family quarry, while the knife is hand-carved in Vermont from locally sourced maple. And you'll never forget what you're serving again thanks to the soapstone pencils -- go ahead and label directly on the cheese board.

Care & Notes -
All of our products are treated and sealed to be food safe. Soapstone, chalk, crumbs, and liquids wipe off easily with a damp sponge or towel. Our cheese boards can also be washed with a sponge and dish soap. Boards that do not have cork feet on the bottom are dishwasher safe.
Meet the Maker
Sometimes, it just makes sense to go into the rock business. Brooklyn Slate Company started when Sean Tice and Kristy Hadeka visited Kristy's family quarry in upstate New York and found a number of purposes for some of pieces they brought back -- and a number of fans amongst their friends. Now they source the stuff from the quarry, transport the pieces (some of which were destined to be road cover or baseball diamonds) to their Red Hook studio and cut, clean, and chip at the stones to make their final products. We think they rock.View Full Profile
