Vintage Copper Italian Pudding Steam Mould, Late 19th Century
Vintage Copper Italian Pudding Steam Mould, Late 19th Century
If you need proof.
A roomy steam pudding mould, c. 1880, was originally used for old-school pudding and jelly creations that would seem dated today—we use it for bread pudding (or even ice cream cake!) The mould is shaped in a traditional acanthus design (a type of plant) and the lid features two hand-cut copper clamps attached with copper rivets. The mould’s hand-hammered finish is stamped “Made in Italy”.
