Something crafted, something blue.

We gave 30 of our favorite ceramicists a special task: to create a one-of-a-kind mug that embodies their aesthetic. And what a collection they dreamed up! We’re pleased to present a limited-edition lineup of artisan-crafted mugs, all exclusive to our Shop (like the sipper you see right here!).

With that cool white exterior and icy blue interior (oh, how that glaze trickles down the sides!), this handmade porcelain mug may recall visions of a winter wonderland. But pour in a piping-hot drink and grab the generous handle, and you’ll stay cozy-as-can-be...even if the weather outside is frosty.

Meet the Maker

Gleena Ceramics

Cleveland Heights, OH
Founded in 2002 by Asya Palatova, “gleena” means “clay” in Russian. All gleena tableware pieces are porcelain and are handmade by Asya in her studio in Cleveland, Ohio. Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, Asya spent her early childhood summers at her family dacha, a Russian country house. A gathering place for friends and family and surrounded by her grandmother's carefully tended gardens and apple trees, the dacha is a source of endless inspiration for Asya's organic shapes. Influenced by her Russian upbringing in St. Petersburg and her graphic design experiences, Asya merges classical and modern to develop objects with a purity of form that compel people to touch and use them.
