Gien Hand-Painted Vintage-Inspired Peonies Plate
Blooms in blue.
We won’t be surprised if this faience piece gives you visions of 19th-century France; it's inspired by a collection this very maker dreamed up back in 1875. Each dish started out as clay from the banks of the Loire River, then passed through the hands of 30 highly-skilled artisans to become the masterpiece you see here (yep, those peonies are hand-painted). Oh, and let’s talk about those striking blue hues: They’re kiln-fired so they’ll last and last—good thing, since this is quickly becoming our next family heirloom.
