A glass with many facets.
Take one look at these vessels, and you just might be transported back to the 1930s (they’ve got a real art deco look about them, after all). They’re all crafted from tempered glass, so they’re sturdy enough to chill in the freezer and zip through the dishwasher. Plus, they’re coming in two tall and short sizes—perfect for covering your cocktail bases. Oh, and those facets all over? Wait till you see how they show off your drinks.

Duralex
France
Chances are you may recognize the Duralex brand (they’re sold in over 90 countries around the world). Founded in 1929, they still produce their classic tumblers in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, in the heart of France. But while Duralex is known for iconic glass designs, they’re just as notable for their durability: In 1939, Duralex invented tempered glass—you know, the technique of extra high heat and fast cooling that makes glass twice as strong as the regular stuff (yeah, we didn’t know that either—neat, huh?).

Glad to have them!
Nicely heavy, classic look. I know I will use these for many kinds of drinks. They are a pleasure to hold!
Too small
These are beautiful, but much smaller than I anticipated. Unfortunate because i would love to keep them. They are being returned.
Maybe the perfect tumbler
These glasses are the perfect size for just about any use. I get so many compliments on the pattern, too. They hide fingerprints, don’t care if you pour hot water in them, and are seemingly unbreakable. They also cost half as much as the glasses from Crate and Barrel that they replaced.
