Poterie Renault
France
Poterie Renault got its start way back in 1847, when Stanislas Renault first opened his workshop in Argent-sur-Sauldre, France. Five generations and 173 years later, the family was still handcrafting their iconic stoneware from local grey clay. They’ve since had to close up shop—but we’re sure glad we have their timeless salt-glazed pieces to remember them by.

Beautiful
I ordered the large, which is still quite small, but it is absolutely beautiful and pleasant texturally. It has quickly become my favourite mug, both to look at and to use. Highly recommend to anyone who collects mugs (like me!) or just loves the French rustic ~a e s t h e t i c~.
Tiny
I ordered 3 of the large ones and are tiny. They are actually smaller than the dimensions showing on the product page for the small ones. They are only 3-1/2” tall and 2-3/4” inside diameter. You are lucky to get 7oz of liquid in them. I’m keeping them, but disappointed nonetheless.
