Stepping in to help.

Did a pattern you had your eye on sell out? Don't fret—we are restocking every few days, so sign up on our waitlist to be notified when it returns.

We heard our community’s call for everyday cloth masks—so we teamed up with our Chicago-based textile factory partner to bring our very own version to the Shop. What’s more, 10% of the retail price will go to No Kid Hungry. No Kid Hungry is helping feed kids throughout the U.S. during the coronavirus pandemic—through emergency grants to schools and community groups, outreach to low-income families, and advocating for policies that help feed more kids. This donation helps kids get the meals they need, now and in the months to come. We took on this project not only to be there for you when you need it most and donate to a great cause, but also to support the factory’s sewing team, who are facing job uncertainty due to widespread closures and canceled orders.

These 100% cotton masks are sustainably made using upcycled deadstock fabric. They have wire at the nose bridge and adjustable ear elastics for a more comfortable, secure fit. There’s also a built-in pocket so you can add your own filter for extra protection. A few notes: All masks are one-size-fits-most (adult sizes only), and due to health and safety reasons, they are non-returnable and final sale. They are not a substitute for N95 or surgical-grade masks, and they are not FDA-approved.

In addition to the donation to No Kid Hungry, sales from these masks will go toward supporting our factory partner; covering materials and shipping; and helping pay members of the Food52 team, such as photographers and writers.

Though their guidelines continue to evolve, the Centers for Disease Control currently recommends wearing a basic cloth mask when going outside to perform essential tasks. Visit the CDC website for the most up-to-date information, including DIY filter recommendations (but a folded paper towel or coffee filter can help out in a pinch.)
