This vintage bain marie saucepan has so many charming details, we can’t decide where to start. It’s made of heavy-gauge copper and dates back to the year 1880 or so. Then there’s the hand-hammered finish, topped off with a brass finial on the lid. You’ll find the British and Swiss flags waving over the word Helvetia (the Latin name for Switzerland) on both the pan and the lid. And in case you’re ever wondering who crafted it: The side reads “Leon Jaeggi and Sons Ltd. Coppersmiths London & Staines.”
