Brush up.

We didn’t know it was possible, but here it is. Drumroll, please: It's a toilet brush without an ounce of plastic in sight. It’s made of untreated beechwood and comes with its very own matching holder. (That’s a terra-cotta dish you see underneath.) It comes by way of a family-owned company that’s been making brushes in Germany since 1935—just in case that minimalist design wasn’t timeless enough already.

This eco-friendly beaut might be the first of its kind we aren't trying to hide behind the toilet or cabinet. Made from natural and renewable materials by generations-old Redecker brush makers, they're built to last for many scrubbings ahead. Prepare to be dazzled.

While we're over here sprucing up the bathroom, why not snag a tip or two to really make it shine? There's a cleaning hack for the books, budget-friendly upgrades for every kind of washroom, and small bathroom decor suggestions we're pretty sure you'll love.

Meet the Maker

Redecker

Niagara Falls, NY
Friedel Redecker started selling handmade brushes in Versmold, Germany back in 1935, and lucky for us, his family kept the tradition going. Three generations later, they’re still making home helpers that manage to be both beautiful and practical. Did we mention everything’s fashioned from natural and renewable materials? Of course they are.
