Now, as ever, we believe there's value in sitting down at a table together.
What our community has demonstrated time and again is that they (you!) value food not merely for sustenance or taste but as means of learning and understanding, of finding shared connections where differences might otherwise prevail. We agree wholeheartedly.
The following dishes aren't political statements; they make no proclamations or forecasts. These are recipes—for cooking, feeding, eating.
Make one for someone you care about, or ask someone you care about to make one for you. Or get in the kitchen together. Pick something for yourself, as an act of self-care, or walk a warm meal over to a neighbor's house. Listen to the hush that comes over a table when everyone is eating food they enjoy. Then listen to each other.
