Polenta, mac and cheese, farmers' market breakfasts, smoky food & drink. These are a few of my favorite things. I was an editorial intern @Food52 in 2015!

Why does this site keep saying these aren't recipes? They might be highly adaptable and forgiving, but they are still "a set of instructions for making or preparing something, especially a food dish."

Some, at least, trend a bit more towards suggestions, but there are others that literally offer amounts and ratios.

The galette link is one of the most egregious examples, where it undermines its own claim in the text, linking to a dough recipe to follow.

I'm making baked stuffed pork chops, fresh pineapple (possibly grilled), and mixed greens including kale salad / blue cheese dressing. Dessert? White coconut cake (Pepperidge Farms) with whipped cream nest & tiny jelly beans on each slice. Easy & quick!
