Our very own line—Five Two—was born in 2018 from the desire to create the products we wanted that we couldn’t find anywhere else. We tapped our community for their brilliant ideas and creativity, and began designing game-changers that go above and beyond. (See: Extra-long oven mitts, a space-saving roll-up dish rack, a cutting board with a phone slot.)

Since launching, we’ve won awards from Digiday, Fast Company, and Modern Retail—but the real award goes to our community for all the prototypes they've tested, the polls they’ve voted in, and the never-before-dreamed-of improvements they’ve shared. Three-plus years in, you can shop Five Two not just with us, but also at Nordstrom and The Container Store, and there’s so much goodness ahead. So just how do we take products and make them better? Here’s a peek at the collaborative process. Take our Five Two Wooden Spoons for example.

We asked: “What makes a good spoon great?”

Our community said: “Definitely smoothness is important. And a bowl shape deep enough to hold some broth or sauce for taste-testing.” —cooksalot

Voilà, we introduced: The 2-in-1. It’s a double-duty utensil with one side for stirring, plus a mini spoon on the other end for taste-tasting and impromptu measuring.

And the community celebrated it: “Just what I was looking for. These remind me of the spoons my ‘Buscia’ brought with her from Europe. The taster’s spoon brings back warm memories!” —Janice T.

Fall 2018

Our cutting board is our first product: It’s double-sided, has an extra deep juice groove, and look—a phone slot! Now it comes in 3 sizes (as requested by 62% of you)
for every task.

Summer 2019

We continue to be in awe of your A+ feedback, like: What if an apron had surprise pot holders at its hem? Plus, pockets (such a crowd pleaser)—84% of you wanted ‘em. Our latest upgrade? Sizes for the whole family.

Fall 2019

Our cookware lineup hits the shelves. We followed our community’s recipe for success: stay-cool handles, holes for hanging, and glass lids—all winners in our poll of
2,400 home cooks.

Summer 2020

You told us sustainability matters, so our compostable sponge cloths swoop in to replace paper towels for good. They come in multiple shades so you can color code your tasks. You can thank our community for that.

Fall 2021

Inspired by over 175 community comments, our pastry mat debuts with everything but the dough: measurement markers, conversion charts, even a recipe.

Don’t mind us while we toot our own horn for a minute. In its launch year, Five Two was recognized by Digiday for Best Product Launch Campaign, and by Modern Retail for Best Customer Insight Strategy. In 2020, Fast Company listed us as one of the 10 most innovative retail companies for our Five Two line, and they gave us an honorable mention for Innovation by Design in the Home category. Cue the applause.
