With Amanda off kicking it with Martha Stewart, Merrill is left to make CottageGourmet's cozy Cranberry-Molasses Pudding with Vanilla Hard Sauce on her own -- which is okay, since Merrill happens to be rather crazy for steamed pudding (chalk it up to her British-inflected upbringing). A trick for measuring molasses: coat the measuring cup with a very very thin film of oil, then pour molasses into measuring cup and it'll come right out into the mixing bowl.

Quick tip: when measuring super sticky stuff (i.e. honey, molasses, corn syrup, maple syrup) it really helps to give your measuring device with a little shot of non-stick cooking spray.
