How to Live Like You're in Kinfolk Magazine (Without Moving into a Yurt)

People would talk if I threw my phone into the East River and escaped the city for a solar-powered yurt. But it's totally acceptable to browse the pages of Kinfolk Magazine or The Kinfolk Table and dream of dressing only in muted earth tones, stocking my reclaimed wood bar cart with locally-made spirits, and eating a supper of morel crostini. 

Even when there's a train to catch, a litter box to clean, and a can of beans to rig into dinner, there are still some steps I can take to simplify my life—or, you know, eat more good food. Here are 14:
