Cook Spotlight
sdebrango
Versatility is a virtue prized by cooks. We love our versatile cookware, any versatile herb, those versatile recipes stored in our back pocket.
Sdebrango is our very own Le Creuset Dutch oven, our bundle of thyme, our dollop of crème fraiche: she is one versatile member of this community. No matter where you turn (or click!), you can see her presence -- uploading recipes, hosting potlucks, commenting on finalists, updating the Food52 Hotline.
And her cooking? Just as versatile. From baking to basting, pastries to poultry, sdebrango has got you covered. In the mood for a sandwich? Try her winning Flank Steak on Texas Toast with Chimichurri (pictured above). Craving some deep-fryer love? Look no further than Deep Fried Peaches and Nectarines. But from the simple (Simply Chocolate Cake) to the complex (Pan-Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Raspberry Reduction), there is one underlying theme of sdebrango's brand of cooking: this is feel good food, at its finest. These are dishes we want to eat around a big table, surrounded by family and friends -- preferably with some Tender Yellow Cake for dessert, please.

How great to see you here! Well deserved. Was so bummed to miss the party - I'm sure it was swell. Hopefully another opportunity will arise... It's funny, but blood doesn't freak me out at all. As a kid I learned from Mom that when you slice that steak, you capture the bloody juices and mop them up with a piece of bread. But mixed with chocolate? Hmmm...
