Sometimes, don’t you wish you could just drop everything and move to a mountain in the Napa Valley, open a winery, grow your own fruits and vegetables, and spend your time cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner for your amazed, appreciative international visitors? Yeah, us too.
Luckily, we have dymnyno, one of our earliest and most-vetted members of the Food52 community and the chef and proprietor of Constant Diamond Mountain Vineyard. Through her we get a taste (literally!) of what her life – the life – must be like. And boy, does it taste good.
The chef and hostess in dymnyno shines through in each and every one of her recipes – recipes that span the length of all seasons, mealtimes, cuisines, cravings. She has an uncanny ability to have a dish for every one of our cooking whims and desires – even, you know, throwing a whole Meyer lemon in a blender (for the dare-we-say-genius Lazy Mary’s Lemon Tart, pictured above). Looking for a killer breakfast? Look no further than Buttermilk Pancake Puffs Filled with Limoncello Lemon Curd. A festive appetizer? Try out Heart of Gold. This winter, we’ll be loving her Red Wine Fondue, and in the summer, we’ll be living off of her Zuccaghetti. Dymnyno’s food gives us the chance to sit down at her winery’s table, to taste the literal fruits of her labor, her passion, her creativity. We’re just as amazed and appreciative as the guests themselves.
