Yes, those of us with kids (4) would savor a night alone! Mine would probably NOT involve cooking! :)

Nor should it -- an evening off would be well-deserved.

Oh boy, I can't remember the last time I was home alone for dinner! I guess that's a good thing, right?

shayma January 12, 2010
that's a wonderful thing! my husband works in finance so i eat alone a lot. you must have an alone-at-home-comforting-meal, though.

Do you mean home all by myself or home Alone with spouse or friend?

Amanda H. January 10, 2010
Home all by yourself.

Sue T. January 10, 2010
Thank you. A cozy evening and dinner by the fire and by myself sounds inviting.

Does Chinese Broccoli count?

Merrill S. January 9, 2010
Sure!

May we invoke the "no asperatium" rule? Even if they market it as "broccolini" it really isn't part of that family. Rapini though, has me rubblin' my little hands together.

I'm thinking along the lines of home alone in a hotel room with a portable induction cook top, trying not to scorch the laptop.

Amanda H. January 10, 2010
Whatever the conditions, we're interested.

I don't even have to tell you what I will be posting, do I, Amanda?!

Amanda H. January 8, 2010
Nope!

Merrill S. January 9, 2010
Whaaaat? I'm on the edge of my seat!

QueenOfGreen January 10, 2010
haha! Me too, Merrill! I've been checking Rhonda35's page, but don't see anything new YET!

I've posted it, gals - it won't seem as exciting as you may have imagined, but it is oh-so-good!!

anyone who has read cooking for mr latte knows that your cooking for one specialty is spaghetti with fried eggs... unless you've moved on...

Amanda H. January 11, 2010
Good memory. And you probably also know who inspired that dinner. Hint: she's on this thread.

Rhonda35 January 11, 2010
No chance of me moving on, witloof - I LOVE spaghetti with fried eggs! I think it's funny that you remembered that detail - wow - what a memory!
