Frozen Bananas

From a nutritionist's perspective, summer foods leave a lot to be desired. Yes, an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables provide nutritive options, but any benefit is often overshadowed by the ice cream, sugary popsicles, and fried dough that I crave at the beach.

For the Arrested Development fans out there, the solution to this problem may be unsurprising - Chocolate Covered Bananas (or, as they are often called, frozen bananas). Our friends at Skinnytaste have you covered with a fool-proof recipe. A simple idea - cover a banana in chocolate, dip it in sprinkles and eat it like a popsicle. Easy to make, easy to eat, and guilt free.

I love nothing more than a summer tomato (maybe add some balsamic, basil, and home-made mozz). In my free-time, I cook, read about cooking, farm, read about farming, and eat. Food is a basic necessity, but good food ought to be a fundamental right.
