Test Kitchen Top 3: Friends and Fire Alarms

It was another busy day in the test kitchen on Tuesday, preparing finalists and community picks for Your Best Lettuce. Much greenery was consumed, a few mishaps were had, and oh yes, we cooked a few recipes, too. Here are our top three moments from the day -- as always, follow us on Instagram @food52 for more.

1. Lettuce is Hilarious. Do Amanda and Merrill ever stop having fun?

2. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. When two roasting chickens in the oven set off the fire alarm, Kristy jumped into action with a tea towel to dissipate the smoke, smile at the ready.

3. Mystery Sachet. We held a bit of a game on Instagram to see if anyone could guess the contents of this cheesecloth sachet. The answer? Cinnamon, peppercorns, and star anise!
