Kickstarter Love: Happy Girl Kitchen Co.

By • October 2, 2012 • 0 Comments

Each week in Kickstarter Love, Feed52 will feature a Kickstarter project that focuses on food and the community. Basically, it’s about cool people doing cool things with food. This week, it’s a small business championing their local food system.

Happy Girl Kitchen Co. used to be a small business focused on the tradition of preserving food, teaching their community how to make everything from pickles to ketchup. Now they’ve grown their services to provide produce delivery, host school field trips, throw field dinners for local nonprofits, and give shelf space to other local food artisans.

All these are steps toward a more sustainable local food system, but Happy Girl has maxed out their resources. That’s where we come in. Help support their growth and you’ll receive a recipe or even some of their award-winning jams in the mail. Plus, you’ll be helping the whole community gain access to sustainable, locally produced foods -– and isn’t that the ultimate satisfaction?
