The Snail Rancher
The first thing you should know is that "snail rancher" is a viable profession. It's quite exclusive, in fact, as it seems that rancher Mary Stewart has cornered the market on fresh, high-quality escargot.
Her unique job is profiled in The New York Times, and we think it's a pretty fascinating window into the life of a snail. Apparently, "they go crazy for watermelon." Who knew?
