The first week using the revamped Editors' Picks system was a success! Just witness the results in the photos above: cheese1227's test of arielleclementine's Blood Orange Glazed Chicken Wings with Minted Whipped Feta (left) and thirschfeld's test of gluttonforlife's Crispy Stuffed Lamb Belly with Blood Orange Sauce. You can read each tester's comments by clicking through to the Editors' Picks recipes -- the comments are under "Amanda and Merrill's Notes" at the top. Thanks to all of our volunteer recipe testers for your thoughtful comments and for helping us continue to strengthen our recipe recommendations. This is a valuable, and much appreciated, contribution to the site.  

We'd like to reiterate that Editors' Picks are meant to be the best of the best. Not every candidate that got a positive review was selected as an Editors' Pick and, by the same token, even if we didn't select a candidate, that doesn't mean it's a bad recipe. We hope this process makes sense, but if not, please continue to give us feedback!

We're also adding some incentives to reward your hard work and make things interesting. The three people who test the most Editors' Pick candidates by June 1, 2010 will be entered in a drawing to win one of these fabulous prizes:

Wow! Thanks so much for your comments and for your vote Amber! I haven't tried roasting the chicken instead of stove top browning but will try it next time I make it - thanks for the tip.

Yay! Thanks lechef... and your tips were great! Can't wait to try balsamic with my artichokes and butter next time, and will definitely use the arti-trimmings in my stock!

The recipes we tested and published last week are still considered Editors' Picks, meaning they show an "Editors' Pick" badge at the top right of the recipe page. They also appear higher up in recipe searches. The list above just reflects new additions.
