We're taking some time today to celebrate our lovely, food-obsessed community. Thanks to all of you for supporting Food52, both on and off the interwebs.

This past Sunday, Food52er MrsWheelbarrow hosted a nosh/cookie exchange in D.C. Over a dozen community members gathered at her lovely home to talk recipes, forge new friendships, and, above all, eat some cookies.

Here's what the host had to say about the event:

"We had a blast, ate terrific noshes before the exchange (standouts! Spicy Korean-style Gochujang Meatballs brought by Burnt Offerings), salmon/gruyere cheesecake from workingstiff, Moroccan rice with butternut squash from QueenofGreen) and delighted in our Food52-inspired friendships."

And here's a peek into the cookie wonderland.

Thanks for sharing, everyone! We wish we could've joined in the sugar-fueled fun.

This looks like such a blast! I feel like I was there in spirit since my meatball recipe made an appearance, but I would have loved to REALLY be there!

This was SO much fun! What isn't mentioned above is that mrswheelbarrow had a big pot of her New Mother's Magic Elixir lamb stew lazily simmering away on her stove, with small bowls for everyone to help themselves. It was seriously fantastic. She knows how to host a party!
