Author Notes

Brazil is not a kind of place that you can see people drinking lots of teas. It's, actually, a coffee country and is really hot sometimes. But I love tea! So, even on summer, I'm always trying new recipes with tea. This one is for the hot times when everybody is looking for something really refreshing. —Hanny Guimarães

What You'll Need
Ingredients
  • 4 teaspoons black tea
  • 2 teaspoons lemon rooibos tea (you can substitute this ingredient for another citrus tea that you have)
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 squeezed tangerine
  • 1/2 squeezed lemon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vodka
Directions
  1. Put the water on a pan and heat it until is boiling. Turn off the heat and add both teas to the water. Let it steep until you have a strong beverage and strain it. Add sugar, lemon, tangerine and turn on the heat again until the sugar has dissolved. Turn off the heat and add the vodka. Transfer the mix to a container and, using a hand mixer, mix all together for 5 minutes. Wait until is cool and place the container on the freezer for one hour. Them, take it off from the freezer and mix again with the hand mixer for 5 minutes. Put on the freezer again and after one hour repeat the same process. Leave on the freezer until the sorbet is firm.
