Author Notes: Luxuriously smooth and silky, this no-egg homemade Irish Cream is excellent in fresh brewed coffee of any kind, and great on the rocks, too! I also included a non-alcoholic version if that is your choice. Just recycle old liquor bottles, wash & dry thoroughly, strip the labels, make the recipe, fill them with this tasty liqueur - add a shot to fresh brewed coffee -Voila...Cheers!lapadia

Makes about 4 cups

IRISH CREAM

  • 1 shot (1-1/2 oz) boiling water

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup heavy whip cream (half & half will work if you prefer)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • ----------------------------------------
  • Fresh brewed coffee, in waiting!
  1. In a large bowl DILUTE the boiling water, espresso, and chocolate syrup.
  2. Add and stir to incorporate - BEING CAREFUL NOT TO WHIP THE CREAM - the Irish whiskey, extracts and cream.
  3. Add and stir to incorporate - 1 can sweetened condensed milk.

  5. Pour a cup of coffee and add Irish Cream.

It's very tasty, and really you can use any Irish Whiskey you want...I like the one I posted. One year I brought the no-alcohol version to my department work party (couldn't bring the other), anyway, word got around we had Irish Cream, and I'm telling you people from other departments were showing up with coffee mugs, lining asking for some, they loved it, and funny...I am not sure half of them knew it was the "straight" version! :)
