Strawberries & Whipped Cream

Author Notes: Made only in June from fresh-picked strawberries. I don't think anyone can doubt that a perfect strawberry is the perfect fruit. - Eric Liftin
Serves 12
- 12 handfuls Strawberries
- 1 quart heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 cups sugar
- Wash and hull the strawberries. Do not cut off the ends. Halve them if they are large.
- In a mixing bowl or standing mixer combine cream, vanilla, and sugar. Mix at high speed just until stiff and ridges form in surface. Do not overmix.
- Spoon cream onto berries and enjoy!
