Makes
As many cookies as you want frosted
Author Notes
With all the holidays, my cookie baking is sometimes overwhelming. What's really tough, is the decorating part. Being a grandmother, I have a reputation to uphold with the grandkids. So I came up with this idea. (Don't know if it's been used before, but it works for me). When you don't always have the time and you want your decorated cookies to look impressive, this is what I do. —knitnbead

ready made fondant (color of your choice)
-
1-2
pasturized egg whites (I use Just Egg Whites from the grocer.) s from the grocery
Directions
-
Bake your favorite cut out cookie recipe. When cookies are completely cooled, roll out fondant according to directions make it a little thinner. (Wilton makes this, and can be gotten wherever cake supplies are bought). Use the same cookie cutter as the shape of the cookie you wish to decorate. Lightly brush your cookie with the egg white glue so the fondant will stick.

Press the fondant gently on the cookie and decorate with dragees or sprinkles. Press them very gently into the fondant so it will dry and hold the decorations in place. Looks pretty professional to me!
