This is homestyle "comfort food" type meal - it is great warm up for cold nights. It is very easy to make, and super filling. It is great for those times when you want a cozy full meal. —Cassandra Hoagland

Ingredients
- For the Pork

1-2 tablespoons
olive or grape seed oil

1 pinch
sea salt - to taste

1 pinch
black pepper - to taste

1 pinch
dry garlic - to taste

can Cream of Mushroom soup -

1
can water or milk for the soup

2 pounds
bonless pork steaks, or pork loin

1/4 cup
water
- Mashed Potatoes
-
4-5
baking potatoes
-
1/2 teaspoon
sea salt
-
1 pinch
dry garlic - to taste

1 pinch
salt and pepper to taste

4 tablespoons
heavy cream or whole milk

1-2 tablespoons
milk
-
2 tablespoons
real butter
Directions
- For the Pork

Put the oil in the bottom of a crock pot.. Let it cover the bottom. Use excess to coat the sides to prevent sticking.

Add the 1/4 water to the bottom of the crock pot. Add the salt, pepper, and garlic.

Place pork steaks or thickly sliced pork loin into crock pot.

In a seperat bowl, mix the Cream of Mushroom soup, and a full can of your choice water or milk. Pour soup over pork.

Cook in crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.

Stir when cooked. Pork will shred. Stir well to incorperate soup and seasonings. Keep warm. Serve over mashed potatoes.
- Mashed Potatoes

Peel potatoes. Cut into chunks. Cover with water and boil until tender. 15-20 minutes. Drain when cooked.

Melt butter in a pan, add cream.

Place still hot cooked potatoes in bowl. Add the melted butter and cream. Use potato masher or ricer to mash potatoes.

Add seasonings, and gently stir in additional milk until desired consistancy.

Place a serving of mashed potatoes in a bowl. Serve pork and sauce over the top.
