This popcorn would be great bar food - it makes you thirsty!!! The Nutritional yeast adds a cheesy flavor and lots of B vitamins. —Nancy Nicole

Ingredients
  • one quarter cup canola oil
  • a few dashes cayenne powder
  • salt and nutritional yeast, to taste
  • three fourths of a cup popcorn kernals
Directions
  1. Put oil and cayenne powder in an electric popcorn popper.
  2. Pop corn and season with salt and yeast.

I made this last night, and really enjoyed the infusion of cayenne on the popcorn (great idea to add to the oil, instead of sprinkled on top)

I love putting nutritional yeast on popcorn - since I can't use any salt this gives it so much delicious flavor. So glad to see this as one of the recipes!

Me too - my Mom used to put it on popcorn when we were kids and we didn't even know she was tricking us into eating something healthy!!

I love nutritional yeast on popcorn! It almost tastes cheesy. Yum!
