Ingredients

almonds, shelled

1 1/2 cups
sugar

1 cup
water

1/4 teaspoon
cinnamon

Line a baking sheet with wax paper.

Combine all ingredients except the almonds in a large saucepan. Heat over medium heat and stir nonstop until the sugar has melted and turned a light brown. Add the almonds and stir until they're coated.

With a spatula, remove the almonds from the saucepan onto the baking sheet, forming an even layer. Let cool and harden completely, then remove from the baking sheet, breaking any clumps that have formed.
