It’s that time of the year again! Valentine’s Day is here and we all want to surprise our loved ones with some beautiful, lovely treats.

But right because we love them, we don’t want to feed our partners with unhealthy, sugary treats…. right?!

Here is a delicious healthy recipe that’s free from gluten, dairy and sugar, but that’s full of flavor nonetheless!

Ingredients
  • For the the Pastafrolla:
  • 90 grams Rice Flour
  • 60 grams Rice Starch
  • 2 Yolks
  • 20 grams Acacia Honey
  • 10 grams Agave Syrup
  • 30 grams Coconut Oil (melted)
  • 30 grams Orange Juice (freshly squeezed)
  • For the the Pastafrolla:
  • 50 grams Fig Jam (or any jam of your choice)
Directions
  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. 2. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add in all wet ingredients and mix well.
  3. 3. Knead the dough by hand until elastic and smooth.
  4. 4. Using a rolling pin, roll down the dough on a wooden board until 1/4 of an inch thick.
  5. 5. Place your heart shaped pastry cups on top of the flattened dough, press it down and cut heart shaped pieces of dough to fill the cups.
  6. 6. Fill each crostatina with 1 tbsp of jam and decorate the top with some remaining stripes of dough.
  7. 7. Bake your pastries for 25 minutes and let them cool down before serving.
