Author Notes

This is my fathers favorite cake. An old friend of our family used to make it for him, however, since she moved away, it has been difficult to find this cake. However, after a long search, last year we were able to have this cake for his birthday! —slulibby

If I wanted to half this, would a 9 x 13 pan work?

You beat me to it! My grandmother used to make this cake and it is one of my favorite food memories from childhood.

Isn't it the best? Something about the simplicity of the fruit and cake--no frosting in the way, no fancy layers-just the delicious sweet fruit in the batter. I am glad other people at the site have had it too, it's pretty rare to see around.
