Author Notes
Simple desserts shine when the fruit is in season. Since we are heading towards the tail end of winter, citrus is still abundant and all the more delicious because of it. The original recipe came from Nigel Slater and his wonderful book, 30 MINUTE PUDDINGS. I made adjustments, but he is my inspiration. —Janet Rörschåch

Ingredients
-
1 piece
citrus fruit, such as an orange, Cara Cara, Morro
-
6 ounces
of favorite yogurt (I am a fan of Icelandic)
-
1 tablespoon
Grand Marnier or other orange flavored liqueur.
-
1 tablespoon
favorite chopped nuts (I used pistachios)
Directions
-
Stir yogurt till silky, then dollop into middle of bowl.
-
Top and tail orange, then remove skin by using knife blade to cut just inside pith. Remove any bits of pith left behind, then slice into ¼-inch slices. Shingle slices around 2/3rds of yogurt.
-
Drizzle Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur over and around orange slices and yogurt.
-
Sprinkle over chopped nuts and serve.
