Samuel Hallegua A known scholar and historian in Jewish history, Mr. Hallegua was much sought after for expert comments on community affairs. He was always in the forefront when the community needed him, his long-time acquaintances recollected. As the warden of the Jewish Synagogue he led the prayers on Sabbath during Fridays.
''Samuel Hallegua, Sammy to the Jewish neighborhood in Mattancherry in Kerala, breathed his last at a private hospital in Fort Kochi at 2 a.m. on Thursday. He was 79 and leaves behind a son and a daughter'' http://beta.thehindu.com/news/states/kerala/article21463.ece
As jenny said is correct cilantro is nice flavor addition so this chutney will go very well with Meen Porichathu (Fried Fish)

This chutney is delicious! I made it with my Slow Food Oahu cooking club and we enjoyed it with your Meen Porichathu, Kallappams, Coriander Chicken, and Tamatar Biryani, among other things. Everything was fabulous. Thank you so much, pauljoseph!!

I love this. I can't wait to make it. I used to buy this pre-made in a jar (called Coriander Chutney by Laxmi Brand - it is very good but it probably has less coconut than your recipe). But not anymore, homemade from now on, thank you pauljoseph!
