Author Notes
When I am thinking about "comfort food", my mind instantly draws the scene of my grandmother making Cornflour Tea Biscuits, the aroma of the vanilla, the crunchy texture of the piece and the melting of the Biscuit into my cuppa every morning.
So I decided to share this unique and simple recipe and hope you like it.

The quantity of the milk depends on the consistency of your dough, you should have a ball of a non-sticky dough and you should put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes before shaping your biscuits. —Mariam

Ingredients
-
1 and 1/2 cups
Cornflour
-
3 cups
All-purpose Flour
-
1 cup
Butter Or Ghee
-
2
Eggs
-
1 tablespoon
of Baking Powder
-
1 and 1/2 cups
Powdered Sugar
-
1 teaspoon
Whole Milk.
-
1 teaspoon
Vanilla extract.
-
Pinch
of salt.
Directions
-
In a large bowl mix butter, powdered sugar - you can use hand mixer or a whisk. Keep whisking until you have a white creamy texture.
-
Add your eggs one at a time and keep whisking.
-
In another bowl mix your flour, baking powder, salt and cornflour.
-
Add the dry ingredients to the wet and keep whisking. I prefer to dig into the dough in order to get what I really need. You need to have a ball of a soft non-stick dough. You can add a teaspoon of whole milk to get the perfect consistency.
-
Put your dough in the fridge for about 30 minutes before shaping it.
The shape of the biscuits is up to you but I personally prefer to use a piping bag.
-
Bake your biscuits in a hot oven for about 10 minutes. Let it cool for a while.
Serve warm with a giant mug of Tea with Milk.
