- Peanut Butter Squares

1/2 cup
light brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup
golden corn syrup

3/4 cup
smooth peanut butter

2 cups
Rice Krispies

2 cups
Corn Flakes

1 teaspoon
vanilla extract
- Brown Sugar Icing

1 cup
light brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons
butter or margarine

4-6 teaspoons
cream or milk

1 cup
icing sugar
Directions
- Peanut Butter Squares

Heat corn syrup and brown sugar in medium saucepan, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth.

Add corn flakes and rice cereal. Stir to coat well. Press into greased 9 x 9 inch or 8 x 8-inch pan.
- Brown Sugar Icing

Measure brown sugar, butter, and cream into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and allow to boil for 1 minute. Cool.

Add icing sugar to thicken. Beat with a spoon, adding more icing sugar or cream if necessary to get proper spreading consistency. Spread over top cereal base. Cuts into 16-36 squares.
