Author Notes

This Ultimate comfort food is a Fusion of Soup and Stew. Having it with Naan bread or plain white Rice, on cozy winter nights is dreamy. This recipe is nostalgic to me because my mom used to feed me this, with her hands, whenever I fell sick.

As an adult now, I have modified it slightly to my liking, making it spicier. I really hope you guys will try and love this Recipe.

Let's see how it is made!

  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Papper
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Diced Potatoes
  • 1 Chopped Green Chilies
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Paste
Directions
  1. Start by adding onions, tomatoes, yogurt and all the dry spices in a blender and make a smooth curry paste.
  2. Now add olive oil and garlic paste in a pot and cook on medium for 20-30 secs.
  3. Then add your chicken pieces and sauté for a minute on High heat.
  4. Add the curry paste at this point and keep cooking for another 6-8 minutes or until oil is separated.
  5. Now it is time to add your diced potatoes and sauté for another minute.
  6. Then add 4 cups of Lukewarm water and let it boil.
  7. Cover and let cook on Low until meat and potatoes are tender. Roughly it takes about 12-15 minutes.
