Author Notes
My son's favorite breakfast. Easy, fast and so good! Serve it with red berries or bananas, or just on its own. You can use plain toast or whole wheat. I have also prepared it with brioche and it was very good. The cinnamon gives it an amazing subtle flavor. I cook them with oil and you can use butter if you wish, it just comes out a little heavier. Enjoy! —Kenza Saadi

Ingredients
-
8
Slices of toast
-
3
eggs
-
1/2
tablet of dark chocolate
-
oil for cooking
-
icing sugar for dusting
-
4
small pieces of cinnamon
Directions
-
Break the three eggs in a large plate and mix with a fork until uniform. No need to over do it.
-
Dip each slice of toast until soaked. Place two bars of chocolates for every two slices and close like a sandwich. Do not squeeze so that the bread remains soaked with the eggs.
-
Add a little bit of oil (I use olive oil) to a broiler pan (the kind you may use to cook hamburgers, with the lines). Place the pieces of cinnamon then the four sandwiches.
-
Cook on low fire and turn over only once. It takes about five minutes per side. Careful with the cinnamon as it can stick to the bread.
-
Place on a plate, cut in half, dust with icing sugar. Here you can add red berries or sliced bananas or any fruit of choice.
