I had received an email from Godiva before Valentine's Day(yes, I am on their email list) and you could pre-order your chocolate covered strawberries. They were trying to sell me six large strawberries for $42! I thought that this seemed ridiculously high and instead decided I would whip up some of my own. This recipe for chocolate sauce is so easy and is perfect for dipping any kind of fruit, brownie, cheesecake, pound cake, marshmallow or even topping ice cream.

Easy and fast! Great for parties. We had bananas, strawberries, pretzels and angel food cake with it.

I made a half a recipe for my family of four and it was still quite ample. I used the microwave to melt the ingredients. I was not paying enough attention when I zapped the ingredients and they seized up. I salvaged the fondue by adding additional 2 Tbsp of butter and a dollop of coconut oil. We dipped strawberries, marshmallows, chocolate cookies, walnuts, and dried apricots. Very yummy but a bit too sweet for the adult palates.
