Urgent! Need a substitute for sea or bay scallops.

I am ready to make scallop casserole that uses light creama and have found that, evidently, the scallops that were purchased were left at the store. Too late, now, to contact the store regarding having left the purchace. I would like to know if chicken or what else can be substituted for the scallops. Thank you.

It's difficult to say without seeing the recipe, but it sounds like chicken would work. Or shrimp.

I would consider to use halibut cut into chunks the size of scallops.
