A question about a recipe: Old-Fashioned Deep Dish Apple Pie

As someone mentioned there was sugar to be added to the filling, but there isn't any sugar listed in the ingredients list except for coarse sugar. The coarse sugar that is listed was to be used as a topping, not necessarily the sugar for the filling (although one of the comments said they used 4 TBLSP of coarse sugar for the filling). Do others that made this recipe have suggestions or does the owner of the recipe have the amount of sugar required for the filling? Thanks!

I'm curious to hear what you ended up doing! 4 tbsp sounds like a reasonable amount of sugar for the filling -- did it work for you?
