A question about a recipe: Research Chili

I have a question about the recipe "Research Chili" from cristinasciarra. Sounds great. How spicy is it with just one pepper?

Spiciness is relative to your own heat tolerance. A seeded serrano chile will give off a nice amount of spiciness. But if you like things "hot" then don't seed the serrano
