A question about a recipe: Jim Lahey's No-Knead Pizza Dough

I have a question about the recipe "Jim Lahey's No-Knead Pizza Dough" from Genius Recipes. Do I need to prepare the yeast in advance? For example, mix the yeast with a bit of warm water before adding it to the flour and salt in step 1?
