I am making a shabbat dinner and am looking for a fish dish (no shellfish) that can be made ahead...any menu ideas?

Any poached salmon recipe, served at room temp might work well. You can poach in olive oil, too.

Thanks kimhw! Can you share the recipe?

I marinate onions and shallots in white wine and herbs. Then a huge handful of spinach in the center of the foil or paper, salmon on top. Then add your flavors. I've played with all sorts of things. Olives, rrp, sundried tomatoes, capers, pistachios....
Scoop some of the onion shallot wine mixture over the top and wrap it up. You can get it ready a day in advance. 20 minutes to cook at 450.

I've made this salmon recipe from Joy of Kosher for a dinner party once and it was well received. The best part,, it can be served at room temperature, warm or out the oven (and its easy to do!)

I love the Boston Globe recipe for chraime---and can google othe chraime recipes as well. Or a fish stew or chowder? Smoked trout chowder is delicious.
