Following a cookie recipe that calls for 1 tsp of molasses but I don't have any. Suggestions for a replacement? Thanks!

A tsp is so tiny. Honey would work.

I often sub honey for molasses because, honestly, I like it better. It has a similar chemical profile to honey in terms of acidity, so it functions similarly in recipes.

Try 1 tsp. dark brown sugar.

Dark or light corn syrup

With just a teaspoon you could probably omit. Or you could try good quality maple syrup or carmalized sugar. Other options: liquor, dessert wine, bourbon, rum. All of this depends on the nature of the cookie recipe.
