What is double cream

In many italian dishes i found double cream as an ingredient.
Is it available in shop or we have to make it by mixing some creams?
If it is available can u pls suggest some best brands which is available in india

Double cream is a British term for heavy or whipping cream, and may be a little bit fattier. U.S. whipping cream is usually 37-38% fat, and Double Cream can be up to 48% butterfat (which makes it very easy to over-whip, and end up with butter!)
