Possible causes: Do you know what's in the curry? Sometimes turmeric is bitter, esp in large quantities. Any changes you made in the recipe ...proportions? Suppliers of ingredients?
Thanks for your answer...I was probably slap happy with the spices, and have suspected that turmeric is the culprit...have made them MANY times...maybe I will bite the bullet and go to whole foods for curry...
my experience with curry powders is that they are usually major salt demons. i ve found my fav curry powder [and it is no salt] at Penzeys--it is called NOW curry powder. you can order it online. best, mindy le bec fin
