Vanilla extract substitute in Apple Brûlée Pie

If I wanted to use vanilla extract instead of the vanilla bean, how much should I use?

Hi there! According to the Kitchn: "1 teaspoon of vanilla extract is equal to one 2-inch piece of vanilla bean, so 1 typical vanilla bean will equal 3 teaspoons extract." Here's the link for reference—I hope that helps and happy baking! https://www.thekitchn.com/whats-the-difference-vanilla-extract-vanilla-bean-vanilla-paste-169336
