Wow. I have to say that question doesn't belong on a food related site AT ALL.

Maybe it does... I know someone who stores catfish in their bathtub until they're ready to prepare them in the kitchen!

A strange question for a food blog, but the best way I've found to keep spiders out of my home is to spray with Diatomaceous earth. Specifically, the food grade version. I get a 1 gallon pump sprayer from Home Depot fill it with 1 cup of D.E. and water. Spray around your home. It will leave a white residue, so spray carefully. The D.E. will kill anything with an exoskeleton. Very important to get the food grade because the non-food grade is toxic to pets and people if consumed. Also important to note that D.E is a lung irritant and it's not to be inhaled.. When it is wet it is ineffective, it becomes effective again when it dries. Vacuum often. Good luck.
