How much crushed tomatoes to add?

In step 2 it says to add crushed tomatoes, but it does not list them in the ingredient list. What is the quantity of crushed tomatoes should be added? Thank you!

Hi Carole! We suggest letting the quantity in this recipe for ragù (by our co-founder, Merrill) guide you: https://food52.com/recipes/2554-weeknight-ragu. In it, Merrill uses a little more meat and a little less veg—and 2 (28-ounce) cans of Italian plum tomatoes, with their juices. Hope that helps!
